A Bit About Me

The students of Lincoln deserve a high quality education.

As a special education teacher, I have witnessed how quality education and targeted support transform lives. Alternately, I have seen the effect of overcrowded classes, overburdened teachers, and high staff to student ratios.

Our schools are struggling under the rapid growth of our area, and our district needs a board member who is experienced, level-headed, and dedicated to maintaining high quality education for all of our students.

This is where I come in. I am a California native, UC Davis alum, and parent of two students in the district. In addition to 15 years of teaching, my relevant experience includes: working for the California Postsecondary Education Commission, volunteering with Sight Word Busters, running a donation clothing closet, and serving as chair of the Head Start Parent Council.

I am passionate about ensuring every student has the tools they need to succeed.  When I am elected to the board, my priorities will be:

  • recruiting and retaining high quality teachers

  • ensuring transparency and responsible use of finances

  • exploring why so many of our students aren’t feeling safe at school

  • and representing the concerns of our community.
